Everett Activities

Stroll the streets of downtown Everett and experience a sense of the city’s historic origins, an awareness of its current vitality and its anticipation for the future.

Everett’s transformation from "Milltown" to urban center was a labor of love for local residents. Since incorporation in 1893, the city and its citizens have never lost their commitment to making Everett a center of commerce and a meeting place for residents.

In the early 1990’s, local citizens showed their devotion to their city through the "For Everett" project, a partnership between the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of Everett. The partnership revitalized the downtown area, added flowers and plants, encouraged the renovation of historic buildings and successfully championed the establishment of new, vital businesses. Today, downtown Everett is a bustling retail, financial and government center - as well as a relaxing destination for dining, entertainment and art.
